SV15 Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Cause Solution
SkeeterVac® does not start LP gas tank is low or empty Replace LP gas tank
LP gas leak Follow “Checking for Leaks” instructions in Owner's Manual.
Igniter does not work
  1. Turn off LP gas tank per “Turning Off” section in Owner's Manual.
  2. Press the igniter button (see figure 4 in Owner's Manual)
    1. If hear clicking sound, igniter is working.
    2. If do not hear clicking sound replace battery. If still not working call our Customer Care at 1.888.753.7137
Too much air in hose line
  1. Connect LP gas tank per “Connecting LP Gas Tank” instructions in Owner's Manual.

    Caution: Keep this appliance area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline, other flammable vapors and liquids and open flames.

  2. Turn LP gas tank valve slowly to ‘’OPEN’’.
  3. Press and hold control valve button for up to 3 minutes.
  4. Try and light SkeeterVac® per “Lighting Instructions” section in Owner's Manual every 30 seconds until you hear a “POP” sound indicating ignition.
  5. If still not working refer to “Regulator needs to be reset”.
Filter blocked
  1. Turn off LP gas tank per “Turning Off” instructions in Owner's Manual.
  2. Disconnect LP gas tank per “Disconnect LP Gas Tank” instructions in Owner's Manual.
  3. Remove Regulator/Hose Assembly at SkeeterVac® engine.
  4. Remove filter.
  5. Reconnect Regulator/Hose Assembly at SkeeterVac® engine.
  6. Perform leak check per “Checking for Leaks” instructions in Owner's Manual.
  7. Light SkeeterVac® per “Lighting Instructions” section in Owner's Manual.
Regulator needs to be reset
  1. Turn off LP gas tank per “Turning Off” instructions in Owner's Manual.
  2. Disconnect LP gas tank per “Disconnect LP Gas Tank” section in Owner's Manual.
  3. After 30 seconds, reconnect LP gas tank per “Connect LP Gas Tank” instructions in Owner's Manual.
  4. Slowly turn LP gas tank valve to “OPEN”.
  5. Perform leak check per “Checking for Leaks” instructions in Owner's Manual.
  6. Light SkeeterVac per “Lighting Instructions” section in Owner's Manual.
Too damp or wet
  1. Connect LP gas tank per “Connecting LP Gas Tank” instructions in Owner's Manual.

    Caution: Keep this appliance area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline, other flammable vapors and liquids and open flames.

  2. Turn LP gas tank valve slowly to ‘’OPEN’’
  3. Press and hold control valve button and igniter button for up to 3 minutes or until the needle on the engine gauge should begin to move into the “Green” zone, the LED lights will be flickering and the vacuum fan will be running with air flow out of the engine bottom, indicating ignition is complete.
  4. If still not working refer to “Regulator needs to be reset”.
Engine not functioning properly LP gas tank is low or empty Replace LP gas tank
LP gas leak Follow “Checking for Leaks” instructions in Owner's Manual.
Ventilation blocked
  1. Turn off LP gas tank per “Turning Off” instructions in Owner's Manual.
  2. Disconnect LP gas tank per “Disconnect LP Gas Tank” instructions in Owner's Manual.
  3. Check ventilation openings and air-inlet to make sure clear
  4. Clean SkeeterVac per “Clean and Care” instructions in Owner's Manual.
